For sale is a Selmer Series III Jubilee low A baritone saxophone!
The series III baritone is the big boy on the block and is top contender for best modern baritone saxophone.
This saxophone is a playing saxophone, everything is opening and closing how it should be, however the saxophone needs a good setup to be a tip top perfect playing piece.
While this horn is a beautiful piece this is still a used saxophone and shows various metal wear patina on the key cups, and other patches through out the horn.
This saxophone is sold as used and has its fair share of various metal wear, heavy patina, scratches, dings, fleabites, marks, and other anomalies associated with such a used condition horn.
The neck tenon screw is broke off with the stub inside. A tech can easily take care of this, but its something that needs to happen during the setup.
There is a rod stabilizer guide piece thats loose that needs to be tightened during the setup as well.
Included is the extremely nice wheeled and shaped Selmer branded low A case. These sell for a pretty penny by it self.
The peg stand is included as well.
Since these Series III bari's have only been produced since 2009 + the enormous sell price + the fact baritone saxophones are not ever produced/purchased/sold in large numbers means theres just very few of these in the wild that ever come for sale on the used market.
A brand new Selmer Series III baritones has a sell price of $15,959 with dealers cost not far below that. They are not readily available and typically have a long wait. So any way you slice it used or new these are valuable pieces.
