This is horn is a very special extremely early era Super 20 serial #281xxx. If you follow serial numbers this is one of the earliest ones you will find, and they are almost always a good deal later!
This horn has glorious original lacquer and factory engravings with the double socket solid silver neck, full pearls, triple ring neck strap hook all in that stunning original dark chocolate King lacquer that only so often comes around!
The combination of the lush dark chocolate looking laq, the full pearls lined up and down the horn, popping silver neck, 4 key cups deeply engraved this thing is just a gem in the hands!
This horn is being sold as not working for parts category and will require a full overhaul and pad job overhaul or extensive tech work to be a full functional gig ready saxophone.
While very beautiful this saxophone has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, patina, repair marks, weld marks, metal wear of various red and green colors as well other strong patina and anomalies associated with such an old used antique!
This horn has 2x non original, non factory key guards.
Please refer to picture #12 you can see the low Eb and C key guards were replaced at one point with basic cage key guards.
You can easily keep these the same however there is a fantastic maker making these exact replica key guards that look amazing and are affordable shall you want!
The original case is included however its been modified and painted after the factory with some sort of space age Ferrari paint job!
This horns neck has the matching 281xxx serial stamped into the neck!
