For sale is a Selmer Super Balanced Action tenor saxophone!
This horn is a prime example SBA serial #45,xxx with its matching 45,xxx neck.
This horn has the split bell keys guards which is rather interesting as this is one of the last and final SBA's before the switch over to the attached guard.
This horn is being sold as not working, for parts category.
Please plan on bringing this sax to your repair tech to get a full overhaul and pad job on this horn!
This horn has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, fleabites, patina, metal wear of various colors, weld marks, repair marks and other anomalies associated with such an old antique.
The saxophone has a dent on the bow.
With the reflection of the lights off the reflective metal some pictures make the dent look small and barley there, other shots make it look over exaggerated. Either way the dent is a thing and definitely there. The fantastic news is during the overhaul theres no doubt the dent can be taken right out and will smooth out nicely!
There is a pad & resonator thats missing and gone.
There is no Selmer case included.
This saxophone has a very nice neck with it that has no patches, pickups, major problems, plugged holes etc. Its a great neck with matching serial.
Overall the horn is an extremely nice piece. These saxophones are barley coming to market these days. The vast majority of these horns show up in total trashed condition missing necks, missing parts etc. All things considered this is a rather nice horn!
If you enjoy the process of bringing these horns back to life this saxophone has a great body and no doubt is going to be a killer piece.
If you have been looking for an investment worthy SBA tenor, this horn is an excellent choice. Please buy and pay confidently we will ship out ASAP upon payment!
