This is the very coveted purple label classic Yamaha low A baritone design that is one of the most popular low A baritones on the market! These purple labels are known as amazing players and Yamaha was doing really fantastic sax craftsmanship back when.
While this horn looks very used and is a bit of an ugly duckling the horn is currently playing great right now. The horn is currently playing loud and proud. You can blow effortlessly down to low A!
This sax is being sold as used and has quite a bit of scratching, patina, metal wear, laq, wear, dings, dents, knicks, fleabites, patina and other anomalies associated with an old heavily used baritone! The pig tail section, the curved loop at the top of the horn has alot of heavy dents. There is a secondary serial number engraved directly under the Yamaha logo. There is a missing Yamaha round emblem logo that sits in a nook close to the neck.
Good playing quality low A baritones are extremely hard to find! In this price range the Yamaha YBS 52 is no questions asked one of the best low As you could ask for.
